We’re Home Inc. is a South Carolina nonprofit that exists for one reason: to give veterans, returning citizens, and people in early recovery a real shot at stability, purpose, and a life they’re not trying to escape from.
We do that with transitional housing, real structure, tough love when needed, and support that doesn’t quit when things get hard.

We offer housing support including emergency shelter and aid in finding long-term accommodations for low-income families, veterans, and homeless individuals.
The Moncks Corner house is built specifically for veterans who’ve served their country and now need somewhere solid to stand while they rebuild the rest of their life.
The Moncks Corner Veteran Home is for veterans who:

The Kingstree house is where men coming out of incarceration or early recovery get a clean slate, real structure, and support to rebuild — without judgment, but without excuses either.
We know what it’s like to have a record, to have relapsed, to have burned bridges. This house isn’t about shame — it’s about doing the work to become the man you were supposed to be.
If you’re on probation, parole, leaving a program, or trying to help someone who is — we’ll talk with you, your officer, or your support team.
Keeping veterans and returning citizens housed, supported, and moving forward takes real resources. If you’re going to give, you might as well give somewhere you can actually see the impact.
If your business actually cares about the community, this is where you prove it. Sponsor beds, rooms, or even entire programs and know your dollars are keeping people off the street, out of jail, and in motion.
Set up a recurring gift, make a one-time donation, or reach out to build a custom sponsorship.

We’re Home Inc. was built by people who have actually lived the stories most nonprofits just talk about. Addiction. Incarceration. Domestic chaos. Loss. Grief. Single parenting. Starting over from zero. That’s the soil this organization grew out of.
To provide safe, structured transitional housing and real opportunities for veterans, returning citizens, and individuals in recovery — so they can become stable, dependable, present, and fully alive versions of themselves.
Lovan’s story isn’t pretty, but it’s real. He’s walked through addiction, incarceration, and all the shame and chaos that come with it. At the same time, he’s a father of six fighting every single day to become the man his kids need him to be.
He knows what it feels like to hit bottom. He also knows what it takes to climb out — one hard decision at a time. We’re Home Inc. is his way of turning all that pain into purpose, so nobody else has to walk that road alone or without a plan.
Amanda raised six children while riding through a storm most people wouldn’t survive. She has been married to three men:
Instead of staying broken, Amanda started healing. Kingstree became the place she began building her legacy, not her graveyard. That strength is exactly why she leads workforce development — she knows what it takes to build something from nothing and to keep showing up when life keeps swinging.
Koryn is originally from Miami, and her life has been shaped by what addiction does to families. She lost her brother to addiction. Her sister is still battling mental health issues, addiction, and homelessness.
Instead of going numb or walking away, Koryn stepped into the fight. Her personal losses pushed her into this work, and she brings that fire into every case she manages. When she advocates for a resident, she’s also fighting for the people she couldn’t save.
Kayla lost her husband to suicide after he became hooked on pain pills. That kind of loss doesn’t just disappear — it either destroys you or shapes you. She chose the second option.
As an Occupational Therapist and counselor, she blends professional skill with personal empathy. When she sits with residents, she’s not talking from theory. She knows the cost of addiction and untreated pain, and she’s here so fewer families have to live through that kind of goodbye.
This isn’t charity from a distance. This is lived experience, turned into structure, turned into a program that actually makes sense for people who have been through hell and are serious about climbing out of it.
